Building Permit work session


Selectmen’s Work Session Building Permit Application Review, May 10, 2011


Present:           Beatrice Davis, Chairman; Jerry Dougherty and John Allen, Selectman


Visitors:           Building Inspector Andy Chalmers, Office Administrator Falcey, Road Agent Jay Henry, Ella Cressy, Administrative Assistant, George Howard, Henry Mock, Patricia Meyers, Huntley Allen, Gino Funicella and Nancy Davis.

 

Selectmen Bea Davis opened the Work Session at 3:15 p.m. followed with an explanation from Selectmen Jerry Dougherty regarding the purpose of the session which was to make the application less confusing by clarifying when permit fees are required.  

 

After some discussion, the following recommended changes to the application will be acted upon by Selectmen at there next meeting on May 19, 2011:

                       

-          No fees will be necessary when minor projects do not require permits

-          For projects valued under $10,000.00 a sliding scale fee of up to $75.00 will be utilized

-          Residential and Commercial Building Applications will be combined  into one


            Selectmen accepted questions and comments at the conclusion of the work session.           

 

The Work Session ended at 5:00 p.m.
